“Whose” are they kidding, anyway? =o> I had seen that ad, but didn’t really notice the error, until you pointed it out.
Love the little baby videos!! How old is your neice? My grandaughter is 8 1/2 months….just wondering if they are about the same age.
Have a great weekend!
I hate it when people make obvious mistakes like that.
It’s one of the worst things you can do. Today I saw a sign for a garage sale that said “located on main street, just follow the sign’s”. . .
:guru:
“better a silly boy with a flower, than a silly girl with a pen”….
I owe you an apology. It’ll be waiting for you Monday, please accept it then. Have a good weekend..

Beats those myspace game ads, though. Goodness.

Yea. As I mentioned before on my blog in my 15 Oct 2005 post… John 3:16 cannot be refering to Jesus dying for all in the world. The context is speaking of all his elect. ===========================================================================
John 3:16 – For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
The context of this verse is not referring to the entire world but only the elect. The word “World” in John 3:16, when read in context refer only to the elected saints outside Israel. Jesus was speaking to Nicodemus and explaining that salvation is not just for Israel, but the world – those gentiles outside Israel. Arminians however, would interpret the verse as referring to the entire world. Which is the right interpretation? Let us take a closer look.
There are 3 ways John 3:16 can be interpreted.
1. Christ died for some of the sins of all men.
2. Christ died for all the sins of some men.
3. Christ died for all the sins of all men.
Quoting John Piper:
No one says that the first is true, for then all would be lost because of the sins that Christ did not die for. The only way to be saved from sin is for Christ to cover it with his blood.
The third statement is what the Arminians would say. Christ died for all the sins of all men. But then why are not all saved? They answer, “because some do not believe”. But is this unbelief not one of the sins for which Christ died? If they say yes, then why is it not covered by the blood of Jesus and all unbelievers saved? If they say no (unbelief is not a sin that Christ has died for) then they must say that men can be saved without having all their sins atoned for by Jesus, or they must join us in affirming statement number two: Christ died for all the sins of some men. That is, he died for the unbelief of the elect so that God’s punitive wrath is appeased toward them and his grace is free to draw them irresistibly out of darkness into his marvelous light.
John 3:16 was never a verse about the lost of the entire world. Yet the 4 SL uses it to suppose their claim that God has a wonderful plan for the lives of every person. It is clearly a wrong application of the text.
Quite sad!
Hey, just stopping by to remind you that as long as its still ok I was assuming you would be doing a topic today. So anytime throughout the day it works for you to do that, would be awesome. Thanks.
that makes me sad.
what really bothers me is that i’m able to pick up at least twenty mispellings in each company powerpoint presentation i’ve seen, and we’re in a billion-dollar industry…
