It’s a happy day for web denizens (and homeschoolers) everywhere — spell check for comments! Sadly, it doesn’t come from Xanga’s own crack team of web developers responsible for the new punch-in-the-eye front page. Instead, it comes in the form of a new version of the Mozilla Firefox browser. It has a feature that checks the spelling in any text field in a webpage, like comment boxes. Of course, people like me make very little use of such a feature, but I know others who desperately need it. You know who you are.

This message has been driven and parked by the Fire Department of Education (you know what I’m talking about, Grayson).

  • did you just now update firefox? i did it weeks ago, and have been spelin gud evar sinse.

  • Well, I updated it a few weeks ago, but I usually use IE 7 because it runs more efficiently on my laptop.

  • hey i know what you mean…that is why if i have time i will punch in a word at dictionary.com

sometimes it is a matter of letters in wrong position…like tihs but still would be nice to have spell check.

  • Ha. My speling is great.

    :P

  • We are all thankful, even us former Spelling Bee Stars. Fifth grade represent!

  • Wow, Caleb – you certainly have a way with excellently ruining the point/mood of a post. How would you like to say goodbye to your dad? Sorry, that one’s a little hard to let go, even if it’s not forever.

  • Most everyone on the front page has been total losers, so far, I’ve noted.

I think there should be a Give The Infamous The Front Page Already campaign, dammit.

  • Good grief, that’s loving.

  • Hey Bro…

I got a notice you commented on my blog.. but when I go there, I don’t see anything. Something is going on with it, as I see the number of “props) and they don’t add up to the number of people who I see that commented. In other words, there are two additional props that are on the blog.. but no one to identify them with. hmm… This has happened several times.. so I need to figure out what it is that’s going on. Anyway, if you have time, go back and repost your comments… I would really appreciate it. I didn’t want you to think I deleted you or anything.

    Blessings,

    Phil

  • there’s a difference between making fun of people maliciously and doing it for fun. I make fun of people for fun all the time; and they know I just enjoy picking on people. But when you do it seriously and maliciously, it’s a different story.

  • hey there – just wanted to pop in and thank you for stopping by my site and commenting – you have a very cool site here!  Going to nose around a bit.  Anyhow – thanks again for the peeps!
