  • Congratulations, congratulations, congratulations, congratulations, I have no earthly idea who you are but congratulations…

Got up on stage at graduation and realized, “Hey, I’m actually graduating.” Then I thought, “I wonder why everyone makes such a big deal out of this.”

I’ve had a lot of very significant days in my life so far, and none of them involved ceremonies.

  • Isn’t it weird how things like that don’t sink in until they’re actually happening?

I just got back (a while ago) from the Ole Miss graduation. I was supposed to walk (graduated in December) but I missed the deadline to say that I wanted to. It just hit me today that I really am done with studies forever. The only thing left is being a “grown up”. Scary thoughts…

Congratulations on the graduation, man (I have no earthly idea who you are…. haha). Where are you going to college?

  • Congratulations, Caleb! I was thinking about you today – and it is certainly a big deal to graduate from high school. Now it’s on to the next phase in your life!

  • Congrats, man.

…that’ll be me in one month, eleven days.  oy.  and no, it hasn’t sunk in yet at all.  probably won’t even set in the day of, either.

that last sentence is so profound.  i’m just thinking about all the ways in which i relate.  but what great phrasing.  it really grasps what you’re getting at.

  • why, i’m flattered.  i believe yours is in mine as well.

  • I’m assuming you’re graduating from highschool, correct? That will be me next year. Though I wouldn’t say highschool is always a breeze, I don’t always think it’s as much of a difficult expierence as some people seem to make it. I’ll be happy to graduate, but no one has to act like I just solved world hunger or anything.

    But regardless.. Congrats!

  • Oh, you’re graduating too? Nearly half of the kids at my church (18 or under I mean) are graduating this year. ‘Tis crazy.

Wait, highschool or college for you?

    Congrats to you either way!

  • Congrats!!!! Don’t worry it’s not the ceremony, but rather the accomplishments the ceremonies celebrate. Kinda cliche….ehhhhh
