Lappy is back!
It’s true: my dear Lappy has come back unharmed and with a new charging cable. All my files are intact, and the only weird thing is that the repair people changed the time zone. It looks like I won’t be needing any duct tape fixes any time soon, though, and that makes me happy.
Heading out for Africa night after tomorrow. It’s kind of overwhelming, to the point where my emotions have decided to pretend like nothing whatsoever is going on. Thus, I’ll be in for a real shock when I actually set foot in Africa and realize I’m on a different continent that I was 24 hours before, and that I have 10 days to cope before I get shipped back across the globe.
And I thought being an MK qualified me for dealing with this kind of thing. Haha.
I should do some laundry so I can pack…

yeah.. i see what you mean, but if ihave complete control over my kid’s growth, thats about as close to heaven as theyre gonna get… we were discussing whether or not to church our kids… ive been to too many churchs that just dont get it, and seen way too many of my friends decide they dont want to be there any more because of that… i dont want my kids to be a part of that.. if i church them, i church them on my own time at home, not on sunday in some other building full of people i barely know…
whats the news on the video website? i started writing it up, but i dunno what to do with it…

i had a look through your source code.. the only thing i didnt get was the javascript, but other than that i was very impressed…
i see you a black/brown theme going… a “vine” effect would be a nice touch.. some kind of symmetrical pattern to go around the edge of the screen, or across it even.. jagged brown lines? maybe, its up to you…

Emotions and traveling are odd things. However, I’m sure that you will love Africa; take lots and lots of pictures. If you find you simply can’t cope, go read Psalm 91; it has pretty much gotten me through a ton.

I almost got an opportunity to take an African trip this summer too.
Yeah, qoph is a letter (the 15th or something) in the Hebrew alphabet. Convenient, I know.
If you eat some of the African dirt when you step off the plane it should mix with your system and help you cope easier with being there. Let me know how that works out for you.
Should be an interesting experience in Africa. Did you know that hippos are the most dangerous animal in Africa? Anyway, enough trivia have a good time and stay away from those hippos.
